Webinar: The Future of the Airline Industry
Wednesday, January 20, 2021
The airline industry has no doubt been one of the hardest hit areas in these Covid times. On 20th January, we were delighted to host an informative and topical webinar featuring Jonathan Wober, Aviation Analyst & Consultant and Chief Financial Analyst for CAPA (Centre for Aviation) and Alastair Hay-Campbell, General Manager for DACH (Germany, Switzerland & Austria) markets at Singapore Airlines, a long standing AusCham corporate member.
Jonathan presented a top down view of the impact of the covid-19 crisis on airline capacity and traffic and on the financial results of leading airlines in Europe, including forecasts for a return to pre-crisis levels of demand. Alastair discussed the specific challenges faced by Singapore Airlines during the pandemic, plans for recovery, sustainability as well as the safety measures being taken for leisure and business travel in the future.
Our sincere thanks to our speakers for their contribution, to all our attendees for their interest and engagement; and of course to Singapore Airlines for their involvement and continued support.
A recording of the webinar is available on AusCham's website.
