COVID-19 Impact on under- and postgraduate academic exchange, Online Event
Friday, February 05, 2021
As the prospect of vaccines might allow some international travel to resume in the near future, the German Australian Business Council (GABC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are taking a look at the old, the new and the future possibilities to promote effective student mobility, institutional collaborations and bridge the distance between Australia and Germany.
As personal international mobility halted for researchers and students alike, institutions, research groups, conference organisers and individual researchers had to come up with and adapt to new ways of working together.
We invite you to join us for a discussion on how German and Australian students and researchers can better harness the new opportunities for exchange which have developed during the Covid-19 pandemic to build deeper partnerships and connections with peers and collaborators on the other side of the globe. Christian Strowa, Head of Section “Scholarship Programmes Asia and the Pacific” at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Bonn , and Katharina McGrath, Director of the DAAD Information Centre in Sydney will offer their insights on the work of the DAAD during the pandemic from a German Head Office and regional network perspective.
The session will take place on the 5th of February at 10am CET (Berlin).
