Australia Day Breakfast: The EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement Negotiations, Frankfurt

Thursday, January 31, 2019

Published on 17.01.2019 by German Australian Business Council e.V.

The German Australian Business Council invites you to join us for our Australia Day Business Breakfast. This first event of 2019 focuses on the proposed Free Trade Agreement between Australia and the EU which is currently being negotiated.

Australia Day Breakfast: The EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement Negotiations, Frankfurt

We are fortunate to have Jason Collins, CEO of the European Australian Business Council, updating us on the current status of the negotiations. In his briefing, Jason will provide some background and history as well as giving an outlook on the next round of negotiations. Jason was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the European Australian Business Council in October 2007 and, as CEO, carries overall responsibility for the delivery of the Council’s core programmes, membership and relations with Australian and European government agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, and other non-government organisations.

The event is the start of a series of events on the Free Trade Agreement, which will include a joint event with the ABIE network in July. With two rounds of negotiations already completed, now is a good time to make sure you are up to date with this significant development in European-Australian business relations!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note numbers are limited and the German Australian Business Council members will be given priority.
